Their cut on the free plan
Payhip takes 5% of every sale, and the only way down is $29 or $99 a month. The better your month, the more that percentage costs you.
Payhip takes 5% of every sale on the free plan, and the only way to shrink that is to hand them $29 or $99 a month instead. Either road, growing with Payhip means paying Payhip more. We charge one flat price and take nothing from the sale itself.
Payhip lets you sell today, with no website and no setup. You upload a product and get a page with a checkout, and you can run a whole storefront with courses, memberships, and coupons. Starting from nothing, that is a lot handed to you at once. The bill for it arrives on every sale you make afterward.
The 5% sits on top of what your card provider already charges, so two companies are paid before you are. Buying the rate down costs $29 a month to reach 2%, or $99 a month to reach zero, which means the discount is really just a different bill. Sellers with their own audience notice they are paying a store fee on buyers the store never found.
You still sell files without running anything yourself. Attach the file to a product. The moment a payment confirms, we deliver the download from our side. The part you liked still holds: selling with nothing to run.

Pro is a flat monthly price with thousands of transactions included. The bill does not grow just because you had a good month.
We take nothing from a sale, on any plan, ever. The flat fee is the only fee we charge.
Memberships and subscriptions cannot move between systems. Existing ones keep billing on Payhip until they end. Tell those buyers to resubscribe through your button before you close the store.
If the storefront, the memberships, and the built-in tools are doing real work for you, that bundle may be worth its cut, and we do not sell a storefront. Add up what you paid Payhip last year first. Then decide whether the store earned it.
The free plan is a full sandbox. You get every feature and 50 transactions a month, and we never ask for a card.
