Coming from Polar?

Polar becomes the seller. The sale is legally theirs, the buyer is their customer, and your money moves when their payout schedule says it moves. We are the opposite arrangement. Your buy button talks straight to the payment providers you already use, so the money goes from your buyer to you without stopping anywhere in between.

The one thing you are paying for

Polar handles sales tax. As the merchant of record they register, collect, and pay tax and VAT in the places that require it, and that is genuine work you stop doing. Keep that in view, because it is the only part of the arrangement that runs in your favor. Everything else you are about to read is what it costs you.

What it costs you

The free plan takes 5% of every sale plus 50 cents. Paying less means paying more up front, at 20 to 400 dollars a month depending on how far down you want the rate, and international cards, payouts, and disputes are billed on top of all of it. That price also changed under people once already. Sellers who joined before May 2026 kept the old 4%, and everyone who arrived after pays five.

What stays the same

You still sell from a page with nothing running behind it. You still get subscriptions without writing billing code, and files still reach your buyer on their own. The work you were avoiding stays avoided. The bill is what changes.

The same month, priced both ways

A $5,000 month across 100 sales, counting every fee either arrangement charges you.

$300

Polar

Five percent of the $5,000 is $250, and 100 sales at 50 cents adds $50. Card processing and the tax work sit inside that number. Double your sales next month and the bill doubles with you.

$199

Coin Moebius

Our Pro plan is $24, and your own provider bills you directly for the processing, which is about $175 at an ordinary Stripe card rate. Double your sales next month and our $24 does not move.

Why it matters

One of those bills is a share of your success and the other is a flat price for a service. Nobody can freeze money they never hold, and nothing about a flat fee gives us a reason to want a piece of your best month.

Weigh it honestly

What you gain

  • Payment providers in your own name, holding your own money. We never hold it.
  • Crypto and pay-by-mail behind the buy button, which a merchant of record cannot offer you.
  • A flat monthly price, and 0% of your sales, ever.
  • An open-source exit no one can close, not even us.

What you give up

  • Tax handled for you. Registering, collecting, and paying it goes back on your plate.
  • Someone else to point at when a buyer disputes a charge.

How to make the move

  1. Open an account with a payment provider if you do not have one yet. Stripe, PayPal, and NOWPayments all work, and the account is yours, not ours.
  2. Create a project, connect those providers, and add your products.
  3. Attach files to digital products so delivery stays automatic.
  4. Point your buy links at pages carrying the button, and test in test mode.
  5. Stop issuing the old Polar checkout links, and wind the store down as in-flight orders settle.

Subscriptions cannot move between systems. Existing ones keep billing on Polar until they cancel. Subscribers will need to sign up again through your button. Write that email before you switch the links.

When staying makes sense

Wanting a company to be the seller and carry the tax paperwork is a real reason to stay, and we are not that company. Price it honestly before you decide, because you are renting that paperwork for a share of every sale you will ever make.

Try it before you decide

The free plan is a full sandbox. You get every feature and 50 transactions a month, and we never ask for a card.
